A STARLET REVIEW: BLIND REALITY BY HEIDI MCLAUGHLIN

Synopsis:

Joshua Wilson, an up-and-coming movie star, is turned off by the idea of marriage. His Oscar-winning smile and breakout role in the summer’s hottest romantic comedy bring in enough attention to satisfy Joshua’s cravings for the spotlight – not to mention the never-ending supply of willing women.

Joey Mitchell is down in the dumps after finding out that her fiancé cheated on her with her best friend, and is living at home with her parents until she can get back on her feet. Without Joey’s knowledge, her overbearing and neurotic mother submits an application for her to appear on the reality show, Married Blind. When the producers surprise her with the news that they have cast her, Joey wants nothing to do with the show but agrees to participate because, at this point in her life, she really has nothing to lose.

Lights, camera, action… Welcome to another season of Married Blind. Contestants are about to take the plunge, but only one couple will come out of the house winners!

My Review

Well as always Heidi has written me another BBF!!!! Every time I get a new book I fall in love with a new man!  Seriously!  You will NOT be able to stop yourself from falling for this one!  From the very beginning even with his Hollywood good looks and his ego as big as the ocean, I was smitten with Josh! GAH!!!!! This is a fun, sweet read that will make your heart happy and maybe steam up your reader a little bit…

If you love watching reality TV shows like the Bachelor and other shows you will LOVE this read.  We first start off with Joey literally freaking out in a wedding gown, about to walk down the aisle blindfolded to meet a man that was chosen to become her insta-husband… No this one isn’t insta-love… Maybe insta-lust, but with wedding bands attached.  Marrying someone you don’t know on a reality show, and being locked in a house making you try to fall in love to win a prize at the end, wasn’t quite what Joey had in mind for her life.  But her parents signed her up and she couldn’t let them down. What she didn’t know is her life long Hollywood Crush would soon become her husband, making the challenge all that much more difficult.

Josh is the typical bad boy Hollywood bachelor!  He’s only come on this show because of a stupid deal he made while he was drunk!  Now he’s stuck on this showing marrying some woman he’s never met.  But he’s taken precautions, there will be absolutely NO consummation of this marriage… Making the divorce after the show that much easier… Well Josh was in for the surprise of his life in more ways than one with Joey as his wife!

You will fall in love with them as a couple, you will want to castrate Josh when he’s stupid and insensitive, want to hold Joey when she’s rocked with embarrassment and yet you’ll still be cheering for them both to get out of their own way and make this real!  With all reality shows, there is nothing that they won’t do for drama and the bumps and bruises that they suffer along the way make the ending that much sweet… OR NOT!  Oh yes this one has an ending but that ending comes with a whole crap load of unanswered questions and the very ending… A title??? Of the next book??? DEAR LORD SHE’S MAKING US SWEAT THIS OUT!!!!!  I smell not only a sequel but a new reality show born out of Joey and Josh’s unconventional and irresistible relationships of two people from completely different walks of life… I can’t wait to see what happens next… Stay Tuned… as they say on TV… I don’t think we have seen the last of Josh and Joey!
