And now… for a sexy sneak peek at

Seeing Lola after eight months was a fucking kick in the teeth. She had changed her hair, it was purple with black streaks, and she was wearing one fucker of an outfit. Platform Mary Jane’s, her signature, purple torn fishnet thigh highs with garters that ended in bows with skulls on them, micro mini in black satin with a lace trim. She had tripled up on her belts, her little baby tee molding to her torso like a second skin. It was razor cut in places, showing skin and the purple of her lace bra. Her arms warmers were knitted with little skulls on them. He was pretty sure she wasn’t wearing underwear also, the girl just loved to shock. Dare he think it was for his benefit? He wasn’t sure he even saw her, thinking he was dreaming the perfection before him.

But dreams don’t blow you off… at least his didn’t. His dreams, her especially, blew him. When dreams blew you off, those were called nightmares, and those sucked. Sucked like life was sucking right now. She had walked in with the rest of her band, greeted everyone but him, her gaze lingering a little too long on Colin, Rhys’ little brother, but then moved on as she kissed cheeks and hugged people.

He had to adjust his groin, discreetly of course, when she and Saffron hugged and snuggled. Apparently over the past several months Saffron and Lola had become quite the BFF, with Lola staying at Saffron’s place in New York when she had to go in for several shoots and meetings with her record company. Rhys had teased him about getting face timed and seeing both of them in little booty shorts and white tank tops… but he didn’t think they were thatclose.

And worse, he didn’t think seeing her all snuggly with Saffron would illicit the images rolling through his head. Not that Saffron wasn’t hot, but he just didn’t dig his best friend’s girl like that.  He grabbed a tootsie pop and unwrapped it, sticking the thick ball into his mouth. He watched her move from person to person, but never to him.

What. The. Fuck.

When everyone sat down, she sat at the other end, didn’t even bother to look at him. He went through dinner in a blur, his anger getting to him more and more. What the fuck was going on? He was beginning to feel like he was invisible. Maybe it was a nightmare?

When she got up and went to the bathroom, he followed, after exchanging a meaningful look with Rhys.

“So you’re just not going to say anything to me?” he said as he caught her coming out of the bathroom.

She looked at him and then sighed. “I didn’t want a public thing to happen.”

Public thing?

He cocked his head and scowled. “And what the fuck does that mean?”

She looked him up and down. “I don’t know if I’m ready to say hi like I want to.”

Winter rolled his eyes. “So you can wrap yourself around Saffron, eye Colin up like he’s a steak, which by the way he’s not even eighteen yet, eww,” he ticked off on his fingers, “Yet you can’t even just turn and wave at me?”

Lola shook her head. “It’s not what I wanted. And Colin is going to be very popular…”

“You just didn’t wanna talk to me at all?” he asked, thoroughly confused. She was the one that pushed for the tour, and by all accounts she didn’t have issue with their past. It was what gave him hope.

She moved closer and shook her head. “That’s not it.”

“Then what’s it?” he bit out, his hands clenched at his sides. Gods, only she could infuriate him like this. Fuck she smelled good. All honey and warm clover… no one smelled like Lola.

Her voice lowered. “Do you like my outfit Winter?”

He growled. Fuck yes he liked her outfit. Loved. Wanted it crumpled on the floor of his bedroom. Wanted to peel it from her slowly, kissing every inch of skin he exposed.

She reached for him, her fingers tugging him closer by the belt loops of his jeans. “Good. You’re supposed to. You don’t get anything from me Winter Tulane. No greeting, no, little wave, no explanation. Eat your heart out baby.”

She got closer, her lips just against his, a slight almost imperceptible move of the hoop through the middle of his lip and then she was gone, back towards the party, her ass shaking with a sashay that had blood rushing from every place in his body to his cock. Fuck. What the hell was going on?

“Hey Lo,” he called after her. She gave him the finger and kept walking.

Game on. Game fucking on, he thought as he followed her back into the room. Confusion didn’t even convey how he was feeling about what happened, but holy fuck the signals she was throwing off were so convoluted he didn’t know if he should fist pump for getting her so close to him or brood over her words.

Human connection? Who needs it?

Ever since she can remember, wealthy but weary Saige Armstrong has felt different from her peers in Pechimu, New Jersey. With only one good friend to her name, she has navigated the complicated halls of high school and is now faced with the timeless question: Now what?

Fox Harrington, a fun-loving, socially charismatic graffiti artist uses his passions to color his world exactly how he wants it. He knows exactly where his life is headed. That is, until he meets Saige.

A summer project links the two together, making a tentative friendship bloom into romance, but despite their affection for each other, fundamental beliefs and ways of thinking threaten to destroy all they have built.

In this tender story of young love, N.K. Smith delivers a striking tale of two people standing on the precipice of adult life.

“We’re not going to get caught. I’m a ninja.”

She’s not impressed by this. “But I’m not.”

“You could be,” I say as I take the spray cans from her and start to walk toward the bridge. It’s dark but not pitch black. The moon is high and shines down on us, giving her a striking glow that’s hard to ignore. To be honest, this bridge is a little more traveled than some of the bridges I tag and the top has fencing to keep graffitists like me from defacing it, but I’ve scouted it out and know there’s a hole in the fence about three-quarters of the way down, so that’s where I’ll start.

When we get there, she bounces from foot to foot and turns her head left and right constantly as I paint. I feel better about tagging this one while I have a lookout.

“Stop freaking out. Just don’t think about being caught. Let’s just leave something lasting on this bridge, make our mark, and we’ll get out of here.”

“I can’t believe you think this is fun.”

“It is fun,” I say as I lift one foot off the bridge in order to reach a spot toward the bottom of my design. It’s different tonight. The fox is the same, but I’ve added little something else to mark it as the joint effort of Saige and me.

“Shit, there’s a car!”

I chuckle as I hear the near panic in her voice, but when I hear the car pass, I reach my hand back. “Green, please.”

She takes one can out of my hand and replaces it with the requested color. “Hurry up. I’m totally going to punch you in the gut if I get into trouble for this.”

In less than a minute, I’m finished and facing her. “There’s nothing wrong with a little trouble, Saigaweena. Lets you know you’re alive.”

“It made you smile, so yeah, Saigaweena.”

I look both ways and cross the street. I want to take her hand and pull her along with me, but I leave her to make her own decision. She follows, which excites me not only because she’s carrying half my paint, but because every time I’m near her, I get a little thrill. It’s like riding a roller coaster for the first time and the cart has just reached the summit of the first hill, and you look down and think what did I get myself into?

There’s no hole in the fencing on this side, so I take out my cutting pliers and use as much force as I can to snap the metal.

“Holy shit, Fox. Tagging’s one thing, now you’re destroying the—”

I stop what I’m doing and put my hands on her shoulders. “Ninjas don’t talk so much. It’s quiet time. Let me work, and you can nag me about it later, okay?”

She narrows her eyes. “I’m not nagging. I’m protesting.”

“Protest silently.”

“This is destruction of property!”

“What you call destruction of property, I call beautifying the urban American landscape.”

“It’s graffiti,” she says, her voice nothing more than a hiss.

“I prefer urban art, thank you very much.”

In the three years after a horrible crime claimed her family, Elise Halliwell has been alone, shut off from the world in a self-imposed emotional exile. She goes through the motions, finishes high school and moves across country to start college and begin the next step in her pre-destined life.

But her exile is dramatically cut short by the entrance of a dark haired, blue-eyed, smirking man who shakes her to the core, achieving what everyone else before him has failed to do, he makes her feel again.

As much as he wishes it were different, fate has not brought Braxton James into Elise’s life, or has it. Brax has to keep her safe from people in her life who have ulterior motives and may want to hurt her.

Elise has no idea the threat she faces, and Brax wants to make sure it stays that way. But as Brax struggles with getting close to her, he begins to live a lie. Unable to resist the pull that is Elise’s bright green eyes, infectious giggle, and loving heart, he finds it impossible to stay away, so the double life of being Elise’s boyfriend and keeping her safe begins.

Full of twists and turns, danger and revelations that no-one could predict, you won’t be the only one lost in distraction.

Well I am still not sure if I love or hate BJ after finishing this book... No really I truly love her and I loved this book.  What a crazy ride this book takes you on.  I have to say that I haven’t had a book stump me in a long time.  I don’t like the predictable, and I sometimes find that I figure out what is going on long before I reach the end of the book.  My mind seems to never stop trying to figure things out.  Is everyone like that?  Not sure if it is just me but I am always trying to figure out what a character‘s angle is or who they are or what their secerets are… I can honestly say this book has me completely baffled… Things that make you go hmmmm….
So Elise is a young girl who’s family has been swept away from her.  She’s left with a sizable inheritance and a billion dollar company to run one day.  Elise is anything but happy with her life.  She shuts everyone out not only because she won’t open up to anyone she doesn’t get close to people for fear they will leave her one day as well.  Elise moves across the country to start college and she does her best to stay invisible, that however, doesn’t last long.
Braxton or Brax for short, is working to keep Elise safe from the dangers she is oblivious of.  What Brax doesn’t bargain for is falling for the beautiful green-eyed Elise.  His mission to keep her safe quickly feels like less of a job and more like a life long commitment as Brax falls hopelessly for the lovely heiress.  But the guilty from the lies that he has to tell her to keep her safe work on his resolve to keep the truth from her.
This book is just CRAZY!  I don’t even know another word for it.  I was smitten from the very beginning with Brax he is mighty charming and his best friend and partner Shay is not too shabby either.  My these men are just really sweet and very protective.  It wasn’t hard to like both of these men
Elise was a very strong character even though she broke down quite a bit.  She was handed a lot in her short life to deal with and I think that she handles it with as much grace as she possibly can.  Brax brings out the best in her and as she opens up to him she starts to show more confidence and a whole new sassy side.  The developments during the book hit her hard but she never becomes whiny or annoying
The twists are too many to count… I had so many slap in the face moments, having that what the heck just happened there moment... So many things I never saw coming which was so refreshing!  For a first book from this new author I am impressed with her ability to weave a story.  There was a whole lot of crazy and a big cliffhanger but she assured me that the next book picks up where this left off so we will get every detail from the end of the epilogue and what an epilogue it was…OH MY!!!!!
I highly recommend this book to readers and I give her a full 5 stars! It was entertaining and kept me fully  distracted from everything else around me… I think that was the intention

Having always loved reading, and having been befriended and inspired by some awesome self published authors and book lovers alike, I decided to start writing my first novel, Lost in Distraction in December 2012. It was a conscious decision that started with a song, then the prologue and then catapulted from there. I love music too, like REALLY love music, if there isn’t music playing, something is wrong. Out and Proud Vampire Diaries fan as well.

I’m also a wife, mother, full-time university student and I do contract work for myself from home.

How could she have been talked into this? She was in way over her head. Cynthiana Davenport did not plan fundraiser Gala’s, she attended them. So how is it that she was now head of the planning committee? And for baseball of all things. She didn’t even like baseball, much less know anything about it. So what if her best friend had married a hunky major league baseball player last year. Just because Stacy had to learn about the sport didn’t mean she did. She was going to call her right now and tell her the deal was off. Someone else would have to take her place.
Cynthiana dug her phone out of her purse and was about to hit speed dial when she sighed in resignation and threw it back into her purse. Stacy was seven months pregnant with twins and on total bed rest. She couldn’t back out, Stacy didn’t need that kind of stress. The Gala was only a month away and everything was practically done. It would be a piece of cake. She could do this. Besides, it was only a big party and if there was one thing she was good at it was throwing parties. Sure, this one was a little larger than she was used to but hey, how much trouble could five hundred wealthy people and athletes be?
Not nearly as much trouble as managing her growing feelings for one very gorgeous, very charming baseball player with deep brown eyes and a killer smile who just happened to be her right hand on the planning committee. Roberto Luque. If she could just ignore his adorable dimples she might get through the next few hours. Roberto was a playboy and she didn’t date playboys. Ever. So she would just have to keep her feelings under tight control until the night was over. She had managed to do just that every time they had seen each other over the past year. Admittedly, it had been getting harder and harder, especially since he seemed to be stepping up the charm. A man like Roberto knew very well when a woman was attracted to him, but she was determined not to be one of them. So far she had been safe by provoking some sort of argument with him any time they were together, that usually cooled things down, but she hadn’t been able to do that since they started working together on the Gala. Thankfully they wouldn’t be alone, the rest of the committee would be there too. Which was a good thing since they were meeting at her house. Heaven only knew what would happen if the two of them were alone in a house together. Spontaneous combustion came to mind.
Her two story, red brick house on twenty-five acres in a small Dallas suburb gave her the privacy of having a slice of country while still close to the city. Deciding they would be more comfortable working in the living room she finished laying out the last of the Chinese food boxes on the coffee table. The door bell rang. Refusing to glance in the mirror by the door, she opened it to find Roberto. Just Roberto. It was dangerous to womankind for one man to be so handsome. That mischievous look in his dark eyes, a touch of humor on his full lips, dark tendrils of hair curled on his forehead and at his nape. How is it that the sight of him made her feel light headed? Get a grip girl, he’s only a man.
“Hi Princesa. I brought the wine and the guest lists as you ordered.”
“I don’t order, I request.” Defensive mode was her method of survival around him. She stepped back and let him in.
Roberto stood just inside and surveyed her house. Lots of windows let in plenty of sunlight. Sheer red curtains over white slatted blinds complemented the white carpeting and black leather sectional with red and white throw pillows scattered over it. Why was it so important that he like her home?
With a smile and a shake of his head Roberto said, “Nice. It suits you. Fiery yet warm. By the way, Jennifer and Raquel won’t be able to make it tonight.” He set the wine bottle on the table next to the wine glasses and the manila folder containing the guest lists on the sofa.
So much for her well laid plans. “Why not? We have a lot to do tonight, and why didn’t they call me?” She wanted to stomp her foot like a child. Fortunately, she was able to control that urge. Unfortunately her face felt as hot as stoked fire. Darn, why did she have such pale skin? Was it anger or the thought of being alone with him? Anger, definitely anger.
“Because they called me,” Roberto replied. “Between the two of us we can get everything done. Not to worry Princesa, hard work is not hazardous to your health.”
“I know that Roberto. Why do you insist on thinking I haven’t worked a day in my life?”
“I never said that. Now let’s eat, I’m starving.”
The man was impossible. Maybe she’d just send him home and do all the work herself. The idea had merit. She plopped down on the sofa as far away from him as possible and still reach the food. She ignored his knowing smile and shake of his head as she picked up a box of her favorite sweet and sour pork. Who cared if he thought she was a chicken for wanting to keep distance between them.
He poured them each a glass of wine and sat down next to her. He scooted closer to her as he handed her a glass. Now he seemed to ignore her scowl as he took a sip of wine, set down his glass and chose his own box.
“You’re always starving,” she said a few bites later, “it must be some sort of rule for athletes that they can eat whatever they want and still look great.”
“You think I look great?”
Darn! Why did she have to say something to make him smile? There were those dimples again. Heat started creeping up her neck and face, the telltale signs of a blush coming on. Be more careful with your words!
“All athletes look great, it’s not just you. Don’t let your head get too big, if it gets any bigger we won’t both fit on the sofa, I’ll find myself on the floor.”
He put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her to his side. “Don’t worry, there will always be a place for you by my side.”
His teasing tone turned serious causing her to look up at him. He stared down at her, his expression unreadable. Was he joking? Was he serious? She couldn’t tell and her heart was doing funny little flip flops, his fingers stroking seductively up and down her arm weren’t helping either.

Meanwhile, Marcus must battle his own internal demons as well as this rival for Avery’s affection. Can Avery and Marcus keep their fairy tale happily ever after together when the prevailing winds of the real world are against them?

**A Black Cat Records novel with mature subject matter**

Reclining against the back of the garden tub with her eyes closed, she knew the moment he stepped into the room by the way her body reacted, tingling with an awareness that had always been there between the two of them. Even when she’d been disguised as a guy.

Heat that had nothing to do with the temperature of the bath flooded her veins. She opened her eyes to find him leaning back against the door frame looking at her with a heavy lidded gaze. Steam billowed from the white porcelain mug cupped in his masculine hands. Slowly, the focus of his gaze lifted from where her breasts peeked out above the surface of the bubbles to her face. Looking pointedly at the mug, she arched a brow. “Is that for me?”

“The tea you mean?” Marcus asked suggestively, giving her a sexy half smile.

Avery reached out with a soapy arm to take the mug he offered her. “The tea will do… for now,” she said, playing along. Blowing over the top before taking a sip, she sighed with pleasure at the first taste of the rich exotic brew. Warmth from the tea slid down her throat while the passionate expression on Marcus’ face fueled warmth of a different sort.

Purposefully, she sat up further in the water, feeling the bubbles sliding down to her waist. Eyes darkening to deep sapphire followed their path with focused concentration. She started to bring the tea to her mouth again when he abruptly reached for it and removed it from her hands.

The mug clattered as he set it down on the black granite countertop. He grabbed a thick white bath towel off the warming rack. Wordlessly, he unfolded it and held it outstretched for her to step into. “You are so beautiful,” he said watching her rise from the tub.

He wrapped her flushed body in the soft heated towel and swept her off her feet. Cradled tight to his rock-hard chest, she found herself swiftly carried to the bedroom. Her heart hammered excitedly against her ribs as he laid her out on the king sized bed and began to caress her body. With calloused fingertips he expertly stroked her like an instrument that he had mastered. She’d never had a lover like Marcus. Not that there had been many before him. But she could never have imagined anyone making love to her the way he did. Like it was a physical expression of what he felt inside his soul.

He ran his hands across every inch of her sensitized creamy white skin plucking lightly in certain areas, circling teasingly in others, always seeming to intuitively know where and how to touch in a way that would give her the most pleasure. By the time he covered her body with his own she was trembling and ready. She moaned deep in her throat at the exquisite feeling of completion she felt when he finally brought their bodies together.

Over the past week she’d sensed his lovemaking taking on an even higher level of intensity than usual as if he was savoring each moment. Now he made love to her so tenderly and so patiently that it took only moments before he’d coaxed from her the ultimate crescendo. And as it always was between them, after she cried out his name, he soon followed, dampening her vocal release with his mouth over hers, as if he were drinking in her essence.

Some are destined for greatness . . . others for pure unadulterated misery.

After catching her boyfriend with another woman, Laura struggles with beginning again, knowing deep down that she is destined to be unhappily out of love for her entire life. Needing some time to recoup and formulate a game plan, she decides to visit her notoriously wise grandmother. But once there, a curveball in the form of a deliciously attractive stranger has her falling again.

Brooks is another story altogether. He is quite content with his life until his father forces him into a business decision that will ruin the rest of his life. As if his relationship with his father isn’t tumultuous enough, his new fiancé is making every waking moment a living hell and loving every manipulative minute of it.

When Laura stumbles upon her mother’s old journal, she opens a door into a long forgotten past. A past that somehow leads both Laura and Brooks into unfamiliar territory and changes everything they ever knew about fate.

Destiny is ever-changing, after all.

My Review of Destiny Ever Changing
Destiny by definition: something that is to happen or has happened to a particular person or thing; lot or fortune. the predetermined, usually inevitable or irresistible, course of events. the power or agency that determines the course of events.

Well I can honestly say that all of the above were and are correct at some point in this first novel by Tasha Ivey. Tasha has done a great job in her first go round in the self-publishing world.
As the story beings we find Laura who has literally found her boyfriend Alex cheating on her with another woman.  Caught with his hand in the cookie barrel Alex doesn’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to Laura’s decision to leave him.  She has been unhappy and had a way of finding the worst men most of her life.  She feels she is destined to be along and unhappy for the rest of her life.  As she loads her car and heads for home she decides she can’t face it and heads to the sleepy beach front town her grandmothers lives in.  I fell in love with her grandmother, even though the woman didn’t say much what she did say always made a lot of sense… It made me really miss my grandmothers who have been gone a fairly long time for me.  Grandmothers always have a way of making you feel better and usually it’s with food…

Brooks is born into money, power and dominance.  A father that is willing to risk the happiness of his own child to solidify a business deal and gobble up the competition leads Brooks to a future that he neither wants or desires, but to protect others he is willing to be the sacrificial lamb.   This is were we meet he beautiful on the outside but gold digging bitch Jacqueline.  I used to love that name, makes me think of the poise and beauty of Jacqueline Kennedy, however this Jacqueline makes me want to rip every last piece of blonde hair from her head… WOW Tasha created one of the most self-centered people that I think I’ve had the pleasure of reading in a book.  Some of the other bloggers were chatting and we have our plan to join up with Laura and take this girl down a peg… You will hate this character with passion, trust me!  Brooks is sent to live with this ungodly woman for a few months before their unptuials are to take place, but everything changed the minute that he lays eyes on Laura…

As Laura’s misfortune continues while rolling into town, her fate is decided and her every-changing destiny is sent into a tailspin, when the help of a stranger comes to her rescue…

My heart broke for both characters in this book.  Tasha takes a good amount of time building this story.  I was happy that even though it was an instant attraction it took them a long time to decide what was really right for them.  Their connection was undeniable.

The journal that she finds from her mother was a great touch.  Though I do have to say I sort of figured it out very early on what the outcome was going to be, I didn’t mind the journey getting me there.  I have a tendency to think ahead sometimes and I am always looking for the angle in the book, trying to figure it out.  There were enough surprises in this book that I wasn’t expecting, to keep me turning those pages at 1 AM…

Tasha does a good job keeping you on  your toes. I would have liked the book to have been a little bit longer and learned a lot more about Brooks and Laura.  I felt a little bit like it was rushed at the end and it could have had a little bit more development, nut it was a solid read and I was glad that this one fell into my lap.  I highly recommend it, very sweet story.  Her writing is very clean which is a blessing.  She has a well thought out storyline for a first time author.  Kudos Tasha for a great read, can’t wait for the sequel and our day at the beach with Jacqueline… hahaha…  I give this one a solid 4 Stars and look forward to more by this author in the future…

Tasha Ivey is a literature fanatic, whose love for the written word fostered her development into the writer she has become. A lover of an extremely erratic mixture of literature, she has been influenced by authors from Jane Austen and E.M. Forster to Charlaine Harris and Alyson Noel. But her biggest influence and literary hero? Nicholas Sparks. Aside from writing, since she doesn’t have anything other than a shriveled up prune on the left side of her brain, she prefers to spend her time being creative in other ways like painting, cake decorating, and various types of crafts. That is, if the constant voices streaming through her head allow her to stop making up stories for a while. Lucky for her, she has a huge supportive family, including her amazing husband and two kids, who doesn’t complain too much when she hangs out with her characters more than she does with them. She is currently working on her second novel, Every Breath, which is due to release this year, and she also plans to start a sequel to her first novel, Destiny Ever-changing, this summer.

My Review of The Upside of Letting Go

Mommy guess what Prince Charming really does exist and his name is Kyler King.  He’s so handsome and really smart and very broken but  he does and says the sweetest things and I’m pretty sure that I’m in love with him.
Do Fairytale‘s exist?  If they did this would be one of themThe only thing truly missing was the wicked stepmother, queen or evil person that all fairytale’s seem to haveI could say that role was filled by “fear”.  A very real fear for Haley Martin and Kyler King.
Haley’s young life has been torn apart in more ways then one.  She’s a college student now but her past haunts her and her fears make her run to find a new life and move on.  But Haley finds that moving on and shutting people out isn’t truly the best way to handle things.  When she runs into Kyler King on the very first day at her new school she’s struck by how handsome he is.  Fate has more in store for Haley then she realizes after this chance meeting.
Kyler King is a campus playbook and everyone knows itKyler’s has quite the reputation on campus.  Kyler too is running desperately from his past, forcing himself to detach from any real relationships out of “fear”.  Meeting Haley had changed him in some way and no matter how hard he tries to fight the undeniable connection to her, he can’t quite shake his feeling about her.
I was instantly sucked in by this book from the minute that it started… I couldn’t put the thing down it was hard to go to sleep knowing that there was more to read.  Kyler truly is a prince.  Despite his past and his faults I was smitten with him from the very beginning of this book.  The connection between Kyler and Haley was a beautiful thing to watch.  Their tragic pasts draw them together in a way that they don’t know or understandOnce you see what their secrets are you will want to hug them both and squeeze them.
There are times I was super frustrated with both of them and felt like I wanted to smack them in the back of the head and say “WAKE UP”!  There were times when I wanted to hug and comfort them both and tell them it was ok that things happen for a reason and you will get through this.  Their love is so speical and their pasts so similar that you just know deep down that it has to work out for these two, they deserve nothing less then the fairytale.
Then the moment comes… When the “past” collides with the present let me just tell you it is a jaw dropping, complete OMG did that just happen moment.  I couldn’t believe what I was reading but just moments before it I had a sinking feeling what was coming and it still smacked me in the face.  At this point in the book you will be left feeling confused and concerned for all parties involved…
And after you recover in a few paragraphs and start to except what just happened then your smacked in the face with yet another OMG did that just happen moment… Ok there are a few more after this but this second one rips at your heart strings… Dear Lord one moment I was in shock the next moment I‘m crying… The events that happen after that aren’t any less emotional or crazy
I can’t tell you how it ended or even tell you my feelings about the ending, because you’d scream at me that I ruined the story… NO SPOLIERS here from me… Will Haley and Kyler over come their tragic past and realize that their is an Upside to Letting Go???
You’ll have to see for yourself on the 20th!
Nacole weaves a crazy but beautiful journey about love, loss, self acceptance and forgiveness.  This is one of those books that when you start reading it you just know that it is going to be a good one.    I have no doubt that readers will be rushing to get this read when it comes out.  For a first book by this author I have to say I cannot wait to see what she writes next.  BRAVO Nacole!!!!!!  I gladly give this book 5 star stamp of approval…

PROMO TOUR: Date Me by Jillian Dodd

I’m not scripting my life anymore.

I’m living it.

I’m done with the God of all Hotties.

I’m going to give my heart to the boy who I think deserves it.

The boy whose kisses are hotter than molten lava.
The boy who offered me the key to his heart.
The boy who asked me to Homecoming in a big, sexy way.

There are so many things to look forward to.

Parties at the Cave. Homecoming festivities. Drama Tryouts. Shopping trips to NY.

But things aren’t always as perfect as they seem.

I find out that my best friend has been keeping a secret from me.
Not that I can blame him.
I have secrets too.

But, for now, I’m going to pretend I’m just a normal girl.

I’m going to pretend he’s not still out there.

I’m going to pretend he’s not getting desperate.

I’m going to pretend I’ll never see him again.
But, I will.
And this time, I might not get away.

I push Damian’s number and, as usual, he answers right away.

“Keats, what’s up?”

“A friend just showed me your video. The new song. It’s really great. Catchy. She already has it memorized.” I sing, “Be a rock star. Be a rock star.”

“I’ve been wanting to call you. I’m sorry I haven’t. You should’ve been the first one to hear it, since you inspired it with all your drama this summer.”

“It’s good to know my screwed up life is so inspirational,” I say sarcastically.
“Hey, you’re the one who told me people could probably relate. And you were right. We performed it one night just to gauge the crowd’s reaction. It was nuts. They were singing it with us before it was over. And the label’s not stupid. They knew we had a hit on our hands, got us some studio time, and we recorded it quickly. We released it a week ago and it’s already hit number two in Japan.”
“And there are over a million views on the concert video. Damian, I’m so proud of you. Where are you anyway?”
“Helsinki. We have a show here tomorrow night. That will round out the European tour. We’ll be doing some promotional stuff, maybe get some studio time, then back at it in Japan. How’s it going there?”
“I’m doing good. I’m dating a guy. He’s really sweet . . .”
“Not to interrupt but I think I’m going to be in Miami soon. Special gig. I’ll let you know. It’d be great to see you. I miss my Keats.”
“I was your Keats before anyone else’s.”
He clears his voice. “You talk to him much?”
“I did something stupid, Damian. Vincent almost found me.”
“What did you do?”
I tell him about the surf tournament.
“That’s it. I’m kicking his ass.”
“All that I just told you about Vincent and that’s what you got out of the story? That you need to kick B’s ass?”
“Yes. I’m definitely kicking his ass. And if I do Miami, it will be a very last minute surprise-the-audience thing. Not planned like Brook’s tour. I really want to see you. What are you doing for the holidays?”
“I don’t know. I haven’t really thought about it yet.”
“I think you should go to The Crab.” The Crab is our secret name for their house in St. Croix.
“Could I? Will your dad be there?”
“No. Marissa is pregnant again.”
“Yeah. It’s a boy this time. She wants to name him Rain.”
“Well, his sister is named Stormy. I guess that would fit.”
“He’ll get his ass kicked on the playground with a name like that. Why can’t they name him Lightning or Thunderbolt or something tough?”
“Speaking of names. My sisters got a dog like Buoy. They named her Kiki.”
He laughs out loud.
I miss making him laugh. I miss him.
“My dad told me about that. All I have to say is Kiki must be one patient dog. I heard the girls painted her with pink and purple paint, then poured glitter all over her. When Tommy got pissed, I took him aside and told him that Kiki was sad because she didn’t have pretty tutus or glitter shoes and they wanted to her feel pretty. They’re so funny. Everyone says they are going to have to call you Buoy when you come home.” He stops laughing and is quiet for a minute. “I miss you, Keats. Everyone misses you.”
“I miss everyone too. Garrett doesn’t think I’ll ever be able to go home. But I’m doing okay, Damian. I’m starting over.”
“That’s bullshit. If this goes on much longer, screw Garrett, you and me will figure out something together.”
“Like old times, huh? You helping me write the scripts of my life?”
“Exactly. So hey, we have a morning radio interview in a few hours and I haven’t even been to bed yet.”
I hear a girl’s voice in the background say, Baby, hurry up.
“Who’s that? Damian! Do you have a girlfriend?”
He laughs loudly and then whispers to me. “More like groupies. Touring is awesome.”
“Then I better let you get back to that.”
“Actually, I was just getting ready to leave. I really do need to get a few hours of sleep. Are you sure you’re doing okay, like really?”
“I think so.”
“Any guys giving you shit?”
“I love you.”
“You’re avoiding that topic. Does that mean one already is?”
“No. It’s more like the opposite.”
“A guy is treating you too well?”
“Yeah, maybe.”
“Maybe you should marry him,” he laughs. “No, wait, you can’t. We’re already married.”
“It will be easy to annul. We married under false pretenses. You told me you were a prince.”
“Only because you wrote the script and made me wear that girly crown.”
“True, but I also cast you as a frog because hopping around like a maniac and singing songs was something you were actually good at.”
“Are you saying I wasn’t a believable Prince? You’ve just dashed my dreams of winning an Oscar.”
“I’m saying you played a much better frog.” I hear the girl whine again in the background. “Case in point,” I say and hang up.
