Hadley saved my life . . . and I ruined hers
Hadley’s my best friend. We share a house, our friends, a life. She knows all my secrets . . . except one. My desperate need for her is inked on my body, it’s the best I can do. But Hadley needs to hear the words . . .
Growing up as foster kids, Hadley made me feel whole-sane. And what did I do? I destroyed our chance to be together. I ran out on Hadley when I should have stayed, and something broke between us. Now I’ll do anything to fix it.
I’ll never leave her again. I won’t ever let her feel afraid again. But the more I try to protect her from my pain, the more I just make things worse. I’m terrified that if I tell her everything, she’ll never forgive me. I’m even more terrified that it may be too late to make her mine. I have to try to give her what she needs . . . it’s a debt I’m determined to repay.

First of all holy smokes!! This book blew me away with all the angst and back and forth banter! It’s just the kind of book to make you squirm in your seat and I loved it!! It has a little bit of everything for everyone.
Hadley and Josh’s story isn’t an easy one. Growing up foster kids they were best friends. This story is emotional and will grip at your heart. They were as close as two best friends could, but they all changed when Josh can’t face his past demons. His pain is almost too much for him to bare sometimes and that strains their relationship.
As the story moves forward we see each character dealing with different lives. Josh holds secrets that he doesn’t want out. Both characters are tying to move on, but their past keeps coming back to haunt them. How can two people be so close, but are almost like strangers at the same time?
I love that we get the story from Josh’s POV. With so much going on in his head we needed to hear his thoughts. It helps us relate to his character more and see through his eyes the pain he suffers. His guilt for leaving Hadley has consumed him and he will do anything to make it right. He just isn’t sure he can tell her everything and lose her forever.
I give The Debt 4 awesome stars! I think to be Tyler’s first book it was a great read. I will definitely be checking out more books from this author in the future! Go one click your copy today.
