“This book devastated me in the most wonderful way,” raves Meredith Wild. In Sugar Daddy, the New York Times bestselling author of the Cold Fury series proves that vengeance is sweet—but seduction is to die for.

Sela Halstead lost her innocence in a way that no sixteen-year-old should ever have to endure. She’s spent years trying to forget that night even while wondering about the identities of the monsters who brutalized her—until a telltale tattoo flashes across Sela’s TV screen. The incriminating ink belongs to Jonathon Townsend, the millionaire founder of The Sugar Bowl, a website that matches rich older men with impressionable young women. Obsessed with revenge, Sela infiltrates Townsend’s world, only to come face-to-face with a tantalizing complication: Beckett North, his charismatic business partner.

The tech mastermind behind The Sugar Bowl, Beck always gets what he wants, in business and in bed. And yet, for a man who’s done every dirty thing imaginable, there’s something about the naïve, fresh-faced Sela that sparks his hottest fantasies. Because with her, it’s not just about sex. Beck opens up to her in ways he never has with other girls. So why does he get the feeling that she’s hiding something? In a world of pleasure and power, the shocking truth could turn them against each other—or bind them forever.

Note: Sugar Daddy ends on a cliffhanger. Sela and Beck’s story continues in Sugar Rush and Sugar Free!

 My Review

So you know the old saying “never judge a book by it’s cover”? Well, I’m gonna be honest and say I saw Sugar Daddy and thought…oh that looks like a nice, breezy, sexy FUN read! Um…yeah…NO. It could not have been further from what I expected and I mean that in the most respectful and awe-struck way. I love nothing more than when a book surprises me and Sugar Daddy did that and SO much more. This book was nothing short of amazing and kept me on my toes and guessing the entire time.

SD is the story of Sela, a girl who has been through a horrible, vile, traumatic event and is trying to get on with her life the best way she can. She is kind of stuck in this monotonous routine of school and loser guys who treat her like dirt. Sela truly thinks she is doing okay until she sees a commercial for a company called the Sugar Bowl and is confronted with the face of the man who organized her gang rape…yes…this book is heavy. Up until this moment she had pretty much supressed the memory and now it has all hit her full force…this is all in CHAPTER 1, y’all!! I’m sure you can only imagine where it goes from here.

Sela formulates a plan of vengeance and signs herself up as a Sugar Baby in order to get closer to JT, one of her rapists, so that she can extract her plan. What she doesn’t plan on is meeting JT’s partner, Beck. I don’t want to give away too much of the story but I will tell you it gets crazy and Beck is deliciously amazing…but is he everything he seems?? I pray he is because I’m kind of head over heels in love with him. He is the perfect balance of caring, protective, sexy and freaking hot as hell…also, boy can B.R.I.N.G. it in the bedroom. I tried to pull a good quote but his dirty talk is so diiiirrrtttyyy….I wasn’t sure I should post it. All I will say is 81%…81 freaking %!

Anyway, you need to know I could NOT put this book down! It was so riveting and well written with small twists hidden around every corner. Everything a great book should be. I will let you know that it ends in a slight, itty bitty cliffy….ok, who am I kidding…it’s a huge one but I wasn’t even angry because it just means there is more amazingness to come. Seriously, you all want to read this one. I haven’t given 5 stars in a while and this book gets 5 huge ones! A definite MUST read!!
