Ever the responsible eldest brother, Caleb Pierce started working for his father’s luxury contracting business at a young age, dreaming of one day sitting in the boss’s chair. But his father’s will throws a wrench in his plans by stipulating that Caleb share control of the family business with his two estranged brothers.
Things only get more complicated when demanding high-end home designer Morgan hires Caleb to build her a customized dream house that matches her specifications to a T—or she’ll use her powerful connections to poison the Pierce brothers’ reputation. Not one to ignore a challenge, Caleb vows to get the job done—if only he can stop getting distracted by his new client’s perfect…amenities.
But there’s more to icy Morgan than meets the eye. And Caleb’s not the only one who knows how to use a stud-finder. In fact, Morgan is pretty sure she’s found hers—and he looks quite enticing in a hard hat. As sparks fly between Morgan and Caleb despite his best intentions not to mix business and pleasure, will she finally warm up and help him lay the foundation for everlasting love?

I have always said that I could read anything that Jennifer Probst writes. I’m not a big fan of 3rd person voice and for me it has to be done just right, and every time Jennifer nails it with her witty banter between characters and her introspective monologues. For me its about not getting repetitive and she never does. Always has a fresh view with her characters and really pulls you and and makes you fall in love!
I really enjoyed the start of this new series from Jennifer. The estrange Peirce brothers are brought back together after the death of their father and left to pickup the pieces of their shattered relationship. Their cunning father left them in quite the pickle. Find a way to work it out, or loose it all. I was never certain through the book if the father meant for them to become a strong family unit again, or if he truly wanted them to fail. He was a hardheaded man, so your guess is as good as mine. These sexy brothers really bring a great dynamic, with their banter, their fighting and their fierce loyalty, even if it is loyalty in the wrong places.
You have got to love Morgan in this book. She’s fierce, feisty and she’s a survivor in more ways then one! When you hear her full story it will break and melt your heart all at the same time. I loved the way she walked in and took charge and just told these boys how it was gonna be. She also through her strong will found a way to really get these brothers on the same page during the building of her clients home. This wasn’t just a sexy story, but a really story about following your dreams, and letting the card fall where they will when it comes to love. Morgan really was probably one of my favorite heroines written by Jennifer. From the beginning to the end she had me engrossed and captivated, wondering what antics were going to happen next!
Over all this is a solid read by Probst. I wanted a little bit more in areas, but none of that detracted from it being a great read. I think that possibly in the following books we might get a little bit more and hopefully fill in those gaps for me! I can’t wait to see which Peirce brother we get to read next, they are both quite an enigma… Jennifer never ceases to suck me into her novels and not let go till the very end! I recommend getting to know Caleb and Morgan, you won’t be sorry!
