Synopsis:

Four lives. Four stories. Four sets of letters. Four brave souls in need of guidance while facing life's greatest challenges.
The anonymously published Dear Life program is designed to help them step outside of their comfort zones, face their obstacles, and relinquish their demons...and prove their existence.
With their lives teetering between wanting more and losing it all, all four souls dive into the program as a New Year’s resolution, sending them on a crazy, life-altering journey.
Dear Life,
Please be kind.
Yours truly, Hollyn, Jace, Daisy, and Carter.

My Review

I can’t believe that I have waited this long to read a MQ book! This woman is phenomenal. I was feeling all the feels that I crave. Crap I was bawling by 9%… I KNEW right then and there I was in for an emotional roller-coaster kind of story. (YES!) The story is told from 4 POV’s.. 2 very different, but very hot guys. JACE, your all American good guy. Baseball player who finds himself in a situation where he is forced to make the toughest choice of his life? That single decision will cause him more pain than he can handle on his own. Then there’s  CARTER, dark, dark, dark DARK! Brooding, angry, yeah you get the picture…world is his enemy! The girls are both in need of change. One of them desiring it, while the other? Not so much. Hollyn is the spit fire that wants to just be left alone. While Daisy has been nothing but alone. Daisy is sweet and innocent. She just wants to explore what’s going on in the world…

After you make it through 2 chapters…which is 2 rounds of each POV… (yay! It stays consistent like that too, all 4 talk each chapter) I come to realize they each have a hurt, a challenge or a need to take this class (and maybe by force)  it’s a life coaching kind of class called “DEAR LIFE” ….. And in this class they are paired into the same group. Each week is a different topic to work on/discuss…and at the end of class they have to write a letter… (some of the letters were brutal)…… they eventually exchange contact info…eeeep ;) ……right at first it was driving me crazy, trying to figure out who would end up with whom, because in the beginning I could see the ‘couples’ working from both angles …. I will admit… they didn’t end up the way I’d first imagined … I just LOVE IT when an author changes my mind.

I fell in love with each and everyone of these characters. The supporting cast even rocks!  I have no favorites nor am I hating on anyone! Well… nix that, maybe one chick… I could hate her…. LOL! I would have devoured this book in one sitting had I not had to stop for Christmas and all of its festivities.  Meghan’s sense of humor is just my hilariously funny. She had me LOL on numerous occasions. But honestly? I bawled… HARD…. SNOTTY CRY…. Just sayin’ …. I have to warn you of the ones that will leave an imprint on your heart…

Life isn’t some walk in the park where you can make wishes on dandelions. Life is work. Life is a journey of triumphs and sorrows. Of successes and failures. Of learning experiences and growing opportunities. You can’t just sit back and expect different results when you’re not doing anything to change.” JACE~

About Meghan Quinn

00

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
