Title: Crank

Series: The Gibson Boys #1

Author: Adriana Locke

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: November 10, 2017

This is one mistake Sienna Landry can’t buy her way out of.

As Walker Gibson looks at her, then at the damage to his precious truck (that
she may or may not have accidentally inflicted), she knows she’s in trouble.
It’s not the busted headlight and dented grill that’s sunk her though. It’s the
downright sinful man in front of her that’s the problem.

The small town mechanic is broody. Rough. Smells like engine grease and
gasoline and Sienna isn’t sure why that’s so sexy, but it is. It so is. She’s
ready to peel off her panties at the drop of his wrench.

He wants her too. She can feel it when he brushes against her. Experience it as
he presses her against the wall of the shop. It’s thinly veiled in his deep,
brown eyes when he looks at her like she’s everything he’s ever wanted. So why
won’t he give in?

The damage to Walker’s truck is the first of many mistakes between the two of
them, ending with truths that rock Sienna’s world. Nothing can fix her broken
heart except the love of a man that won’t, maybe even can’t, love her back.

My Review

I was up reading Crank till the wee hours of the morning and I’m not sorry I stayed awake to read it.  This was a sweet read by Adriana that you won’t want to miss.  This story might be a new series but you’ll see and hear familiar characters from the Landry series.  Considering the heroine is a Landry and all!
From the minute I met Walker I knew that I would love him.  He was all broody and cranky and sarcastic as heck!  Though he wasn’t from the south I would have thought he’d fit right in with that crowd!  Walker is dealing with a lot of stress on his young shoulders, since his parents death, taking on their family business, and his personal life.  He seems so darn lonely and sad you just want to give him a big hug and tell him everything will work out.
Sienna is a seriously potent woman.  She’s brash and cocky and tells it like it is.  She doesn’t take crap from nobody, including the infuriating Walker, even if she did smash his precious vehicle with a baseball bat.  Living where she does, she love the anonymity that it brings to her.  Nobody in this small town knows her last name and it doesn’t mean anything to them, which is refreshing.  She’s making friends with people who don’t care about her family money and power.  She’s making a name for herself in the design industry and that’s been her dream.  That and to impress her brother with her business acumen and determination.
Walker and Sienna are like oil and water at first.  They want to mix but one tries to integrate while the other tries hard to separate.  Their chemistry and attraction is undeniable, and Sienna is determined to figure out how to get the oil in this mixture to stop separating!
I really enjoyed this story.  I had a few issues with it along the way and wished that some things would have been explored more, and that there would have been a little bit more of their relationship rather then just that instant attraction, but overall I liked this one.  I loved the side characters.  Walker’s cousin, Peck, he especially grabbed up a piece of my heart and I can only hope he gets his epic HEA!!!!
Can’t wait to see what’s coming next!!!!
