Confession #1: I used to be a puck bunny, but after a hockey player broke my heart, I gave up all things hockey. Now I’m just focused on finding a way to pass my math class so I can graduate college.
Confession #2: Ryder “Ox” Maddox’s deep, sexy voice sends fuzzy tingles through my entire body, and I’m powerless to stop it. Which is a big problem since the hot, surprisingly funny hockey player is my new math tutor.
Confession #3: I can’t stop thinking about how ripped Ryder is from all his hockey training, and how fun it’d be to cross lines with him.
Confession #4: I kissed a hockey player and I liked it.
Confession #5: If I’m not careful, I might relapse and fall for Ryder, and then I’ll be totally pucked.
I absolutely adored the first book in this series so I honestly couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. I really love Cindi’s writing! I wasn’t disappointed in this book at all. There were a few times where the monotony of Lindsay’s monologue got to me, but overall its a really great read!
Lindsay is struggling to pass Math, and with the way things have been for her, she has to pass and graduate and get a job. She isn’t one of the “rich” kids, and there is no way she’s moving back to the revolving door that is her mothers house… and by revolving I mean, revolving with men. Lindsay has given up on love since her heart was broken by a hockey player that she left herself fall in love with only to have that feeling not reciprocated. Worse yet, she’s kinda friends with the woman he chose, which makes it hard. She’s resigned herself to never fall for a hockey player again. In fact she’s gone from going to hockey and hanging with them to treating them like they all have the plague!
Ryder is determined to tip the scale in his favor when it comes to Lindsay, so if becoming her tutor is the way to get her to say yes, he will do whatever he can to make it happen. Ryder is not your typical college jock, chasing skirts. He’s a good student, he keeps his head down and stays out of trouble. But because Lindsay is jaded, all she sees is what she’s always know, jocks are skirt chasers, and once they get what they want the pretend like they don’t know you!
Through most of the book we have the really good push and pull relationship. The twist was slightly predictable, and I had a feeling pretty early on what was going to happen. I wished that it would have been hidden a little bit better in the story plot line. But I still enjoyed this story so much. I loved Ryder he was such a great hero, and he never swayed from his values which is something I always appreciate in a character. Cindi’s writing is what kept me reading though. She has beautiful prose and story telling, that keep you wrapped up in a book and forget about the outside world for a little while.

About the Author
USA Today Bestselling author Cindi Madsen sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting, revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she’d be even crazier. She has way too many shoes but can always find a reason to buy a new pretty pair, especially if they’re sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music, dancing, and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children.
