London Daniels is returning home to Willow Bay, Alberta with a bruised ego and ass to match. After taking a nasty fall in the Olympic Grand Prix Dressage that may have just cost her her career, all she wants to do is get home to nurse her wounds and be able to get back on her horse, Achilles War. Everyone in town was sure to have seen her lose the Gold medal. She wasn’t expecting sexy cowboy Branson Tucker to show up and turn her world upside down yet again, all while making everything seem so right. Branson is a real estate tycoon who has his sights set on London. After seeing her all over the news and papers he can’t get her out of his mind. So when he learns her family’s horse stable is having trouble keeping afloat, he comes up with a plan to meet London and save her family’s livelihood. Mr. Tucker doesn’t take no for an answer and goes after what he wants. Will his actions cause him to lose more than just London? Can he make her see he is the man for her?
This story is short but so sweet with a little bit of sexy mixed in. I loved London and her sassy attitude yet she isn’t afraid to out herself out there and go for what she wants. And Branson just made me want to swoon every time he called her ‘angel’. His sexy cowboy ways and how he just shows up and sweeps her off her feet. I loved the feel of the close knit family on both sides of the story. On London’s side with her Dad Larry, her brother Owen and her sister Aurora. And then Branson with his parents Charles and Ashley, and brothers Heath and Greg and their spouses and children. I would have liked a little more detail about him pursuing her but all in all I really enjoyed this read. I even cried a bit! If you are looking for a quick but sweet and charming, lift your spirits read this is it! Change Rein by Anne Jolin is a definite 4 Star read for me!
Anne Jolin Bio:
I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside Vancouver, Canada. I grew up riding horses, shooting guns, and driving in trucks.
I never expected to be an author. A massage therapist? Yes. Take over the family construction company? Yes. But an author? No. Writing was something that snuck up on me and rooted itself into my life. It was beautiful to discover that love, and I’m truly grateful to say I’ve found my passion.
Since I’ve always been a creative person, it feels amazing to harness all of that energy and use it to tell a story I love. I enjoy incorporating bits of my real life into the stories I write. What parts are true? Hah. I’ll never tell—what would be the fun in that?
If I could leave y’all with one thing, it’s that life’s far too short to not live it out loud. Drown in your passions, hold on tight to the things that inspire you, and chase your dreams relentlessly. I can promise you without a doubt that you won’t regret it. I know I don’t.
